Zense: Designed to Engage Every Sense

Fresh from winning a Silver Pentaward at the Pentawards Gala Ceremony in Amsterdam and a Bronze for the “Leonhard Kurz Best Use of Embellishment Award”, we’re proud to unveil Zense - a sensory-first packaging experience created by the teams at Graphic Brands and Proof+, supported by our colleagues at Reflex Flexibles in Telford. Zense is more than packaging.

It’s a drink supplement powder designed with purpose: to support neurodivergent individuals, particularly those with ADHD, through a rich, multi-sensory interaction that transforms an everyday supplement into a moment of calm, clarity and connection.

A Sensory First Packaging Experience

Our challenge was clear: to create a product that people don’t just use, but feel. Something tactile, immersive and emotionally resonant.

The result is a bold step forward in inclusive packaging where form, function and sensory engagement come together seamlessly.

Form Meets Function

The Zense tub has been ergonomically designed to invite repeated use. Made from recycled plastic and created to be refillable, it balances sustainability with longevity, offering a pack that’s made to last, made to reuse and made to matter.

Two States. One Experience.

Zense is available in two mood-based variants, each supported by sensory cues crafted to complement the emotional and cognitive needs of people with ADHD:

Focus

For energising clarity, sharpening attention and supporting productivity.

Calm

For unwinding, grounding and regaining stillness.

Designed to Engage Every Sense

Every element of Zense has been intentionally crafted through the lens of sensory impact, transforming a functional supplement into a personalised ritual.

Sight

The packaging features thoughtfully selected colours, designed for clarity and impact – energising tones for ‘Focus’ and soothing hues for ‘Calm.’

Touch

Premium textured embellishments and tactile varnishes offer stimulating or calming sensations, while the sculpted, ergonomic tub is designed to feel naturally satisfying in the hand.

Hearing

An embedded NFC tag connects users to a curated brown noise playlist  - a low-frequency sound known to help improve focus and reduce distractions, particularly for people with ADHD.

Smell

A scented varnish adds a subtle olfactory layer of engagement, enhancing emotional connection and reinforcing each variant’s purpose.

Taste

The formulation has been developed with sensory sensitivity in mind, designed to appeal to and support people with ADHD.

Connection, Accessibility and Experience

Zense goes far beyond decoration. It represents a new approach to packaging - one that embraces inclusivity, accessibility and the understanding that sensory experiences play a crucial role in how many neurodivergent individuals navigate the world.

This concept showcases the strengths of the Reflex Group: creativity, innovation, human-centred design, technical excellence and the power of integrated teams working from concept to final prototype.
