Working Hours: Week 1: 06:00 – 14:00 (Mon–Thu), 06:00 – 13:00 (Fri), Week 2: 14:00 – 22:00 (Mon–Thu), 13:00 – 20:00 (Fri)
About the Role
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Inspection Finisher / Rewind Operator to join our team at our Reflex Labels site in Boston.
This is an entry-level role suited to individuals looking to begin a career in print production. You will receive full training to learn how to operate rewind and inspection machinery, ensuring finished products meet quality and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with loading master reels in line with job specifications
- Learn to operate rewind and inspection machines safely and efficiently
- Support in setting up equipment, including mandrels, cores, and blades
- Assist with slitting reels to required widths following safety procedures
- Use inspection systems (such as AVT) to identify and remove substandard print
- Help maintain product quality throughout production runs
- Label finished reels accurately according to company and customer requirements
- Print and apply traceability labels as required
- Follow line clearance procedures after each job and maintain accurate records
- Assist with basic maintenance and calibration of machinery
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth production and communication
- Follow all health and safety and quality control procedures
