Lamination Operator

The company has an opportunity for an experienced Lamination Operator at our site in Telford.
Location: Telford
Position type: Part-time
Working Hours:
1x 24 hours per week 06.00 – 18.00 Saturday and Sunday
1x A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 – 14.00 and week 2: 14.00 – 22.00
Role Overview
The role is to ensure the lamination machines are operating to maximum efficiency, ensuring that designs are laminated within a target timeframe and to the customer specification. To organise ancillary products/equipment to provide a well organised and safe place of work including raw materials, WIP and finished goods ensuring materials are available as required for the next process. A clean environment is key to help maintain best practices.
Roles and Responsibilities
Ensure health & safety requirements within the Conversion department are adhered to at all times.
To ensure that all lamination operators are operating in a safe manner
To be responsible for the ancillary equipment of the lamination machines
To minimise downtime and waste within the Conversion department
To develop the efficiency of machine performance by effective trouble shooting and implementing improvements using CI techniques.
To be responsible for the consumable items used within the department.
To effectively operate within the parameters of schedule, ensuring that set times/run times are adhered to and equipment is are ready for the next job.
Take due care and attention of equipment and resources with particular regard to Health & Safety, hygiene, good housekeeping and basic maintenance.
To ensure that Health, Safety and Hygiene procedures are followed at all times, including compliance with BRC criteria.
Carry out effective shift handovers to ensure continued quality and avoid unnecessary downtime issues
To ensure all glues are ready for the job and next shift
Locate materials ready for the job and new jobs pending
